Energy Saving/ Utility Engineer

Position:                 Energy Saving/ Utility Engineer (Local Chinese)

Location:                 Shenzhen City

Reports To:                Facility & Maintenance Manager

Duration:                        One Year Short Term Contractor

Schedule:                   5*8

 

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor utility consumption monitoring system and summarize/report to managers.
  • Analyze utility consumption and derive energy saving ideas.
  • Provide proactive control system engineering input to offshore facility production, project scope, budget, and schedule development as required.
  • Develop and review control system selection, installation, commissioning and startup specifications, design criteria and work scope.
  • Provide independent guidance and oversight of control system design activities, special studies, etc. Monitor and review specific discipline contractor activities, deliverables, and progress related to schedule, budget, and quality and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
  • Provide discipline design guidance to production team and project team to identify proper operation and construction management resources in order to assure a safe and accurate operation, installation of control system equipment that is compliant with design and codes.
  • Provide discipline design guidance to production and project team to identify proper commissioning, start-up, and site-training resources related to control system installations for the project.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions, tools, and engineering guidelines that standardize engineering design parameters and processes and improve the efficiency and quality.
  • Assist the production, construction, and commissioning team.

 

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • At least 15 years’ experience in oil & gas industry with 10 years’ experience in onshore and offshore facilities and engineering
  • Wide experience in the Upstream Facilities and utility consumption, energy saving and Control Systems (onshore and offshore)
  • Good knowledge of the industry standards and practices relevant to production and project management in the Oil & Gas upstream industry
  • Has high level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget, focused on providing quality services to the clients in a timely manner.
  • Ability to lead a team of other professionals; prior experience in leadership roles within production and project
  • Excellent English skills in written and frequent oral communications
